My first newborn girl! So so sweet!

I'm in love with the idea of giving families pictures that they will treasure. Part of what I've been trying to work on with my photography is finding my style. After a shoot, the pictures that I get excited about are the ones where their personality shines through, and I feel like I've captured a moment that shows who they are. I tried that with some good friends last weekend. They were fun to shoot, especially because they are all so photogenic!!!

Photography has enriched my life in so many ways! First, I've started to look at things differently. I can't drive down the street without scoping out possible locations. I see potential and beauty in things that I didn't see before. Next, St. Louis is full of so many wonderful places that I probably wouldn't go visit if it weren't for photography. I'm starting to explore small corners of our city and getting to know it's parks. Last but not least, new friends! I'm meeting wonderful new people who share my obsession.

This past weekend I got together with some fellow photographers for a photo swap. They took pictures for my family, and I took pictures for theirs. We went to Central West End which is one of those places I would've never explored if not for the sake of picture taking. We had a great time!!

Lovin' the Fall!

I don't want these fall colors to ever end!! Maybe it is because I'm seeing the colors through photographer goggles, but this fall seems so beautiful!!

Here is a sneak peek of some family pictures I did for a friend. Their two little ones were naturals in front of the camera! That made the shoot so much fun. They were up for anything I suggested. I have lots more to go through, but here are some of my favorites so far.

My sister got married!!!

On October 10th my big sister got married! It was a beautiful day and a beautiful wedding! I left most of the work up to their photographer, but I got a few : )

My son was a ring bearer. I was so nervous about him making it down the isle, but he did great. He would not let me get a good picture of him in his tux. He looked SO adorable. Hopefully their photographer got some good ones.
This was the other ring bearer. Unlike my son, he couldn't wait to get in front of the camera! He was so cute.

My first awake baby! This is a fellow speech pathologist's 11 week old. It was a challenge to position an awake baby who can't sit up yet, but he was very patient with me. Here are some of my favorites.

I have to include this outtake. I told his big brother to give him a kiss on the head! HA! : )

HARD TO CATCH!

How hard would it be to get two little guys to sit by each other for a couple of pictures?

Really hard! Shooting little boys who can run and climb is so different than shooting tiny little newborns! They ran around and I ran after them : ) How handsome are these guys?!!
